Shipping & Return Policy

At Awesome Maps, we’re committed to delivering exceptional service and fairness to every customer. Even as a small business, we ship from multiple locations to provide you with the best possible shipping experience. If you're in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the EU, or Singapore, you can expect the most efficient shipping. We understand that sometimes unforeseen issues occur—whether on your end or ours—and we’re always ready to work with you to make things right. With this in mind, we’ve established clear guidelines to set expectations and ensure a transparent, fair process for everyone.

1. Shipping Policy

Tracking and Monitoring Shipments
Once you receive tracking information from us, it is your responsibility to monitor the shipping progress.
Please note that shipments may experience delays, especially if your delivery address is outside the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the European Union, where packages can be held up at customs.

Delayed Shipments and Investigation Process
If a shipment appears to be delayed or “stuck” for more than 10 to 14 days, please notify us immediately.
Upon notification, we will initiate an investigation with our shipping provider. Until the investigation is complete, no further action can be taken from us – this includes refunds, reships, or any other resolution.

Shipping from Multiple Locations
Although we indicate that we ship from various locations, we reserve the right to ship from whichever warehouse makes sense for us at the time of your order. This may mean that your order is shipped from a location that is not necessarily the closest to you.

Shipping Times
Shipping times are approximations and we are working with data we get from our carriers. In no way shall these be binding. 

Additional Shipping Costs and Duties
For shipments outside the EU, Australia, and the US, additional duties may apply.
If a package is unclaimed and returned to us or if you provide an incorrect address, we may incur extra costs. In such cases, extra costs—up to 80% of the product price—will be deducted from your refund or charged for reshipment.

Advice on Shipping Returns:
Please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance when returning an item. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


2. Returns Policy

Return Eligibility and Timeframe
We accept returns within 60 days of your purchase. This policy applies even if the item was purchased as a gift.
Items must be unused, in the same condition as received, and in the original packaging.
Note: This particularly applies to our Adventure Bottle—if the bottle has been used, we cannot accept a return for sanitary reasons.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer without first contacting us at sara.vi@awesome-maps.com.

Non-Returnable Items
Wall art products are made-to-order exclusively for you and are not eligible for return.

Return Shipping Costs and Location
You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning an item. These shipping costs are non-refundable, and if we incur any cost for processing your return, this amount will be deducted from your refund.

Partial Refunds (if applicable):
Items that are not in their original condition, are damaged, or missing parts not due to our error may be eligible for only a partial refund.


3. Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you a notification of receipt and approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed and credited to your original method of payment or as store credit within a specified number of days.
You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. These costs are non-refundable, and if we incur any cost for processing your return, this amount will be deducted from your refund.
We reserve the right to withhold a refund until the returned goods are received.

Late or Missing Refunds Guidance:
If you haven’t received a refund within the expected timeframe, please first check your bank account, credit card company, or bank for processing times. If you have followed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us at sara.vi@awesome-maps.com.


4. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged if it is our fault.
If an item is received in a damaged package, it is your obligation to document the damage upon receipt so we can use this as evidence when claiming compensation from the carrier.

5. Right of Revocation

Your Right to Cancel
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 60 days of receiving your goods, without stating a reason.
The revocation period is 60 days from the date on which the goods were received (by you or by a third party not acting as the carrier).

Consequences of Revocation:
If you withdraw from your purchase, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except additional costs arising from choosing a delivery method other than our cheapest standard option).
Refunds will be processed within 14 days from the date we receive your notice of revocation and the returned goods.

Exclusion of the Right of Revocation:
There is no right of revocation for goods that have been custom-made or tailored to your specific requirements, such as wall art.
